Water Contamination in Florida Everglades

Everglades National Park is a 1.5 million-acre wetlands preserve on the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida. Among the Everglades’ abundant wildlife are the endangered leatherback turtle, Florida panther and West Indian manatee.

An underground leaking oil pipe contaminated one of the sight ponds which was treated with a range of SpillAway™ Products included Bio-W™, Liquid Remediact™ and HC-200™. This contamination was removed from the surface with the Bio-W™ and bioremediated within the water using the other products. The application of products was almost immediate meaning the excellent results were achieved with full bioremediation within a few weeks. No wildlife was lost as a result of this contamination and cleaning up process.
